At Abundant Life Academy we
use the same foundational tools of the peer pressure system;
but instead of being pressured to act out negatively, our
students are encouraged to love, serve, and support one another.
The ALA climate is characterized by “trust and openness”.
There is no coercion, psychological intimidation, or manipulation
involved. Instead, they are encouraged through authentic concern.
An ALA student-leader is thus empowered to recognize obstacles,
utilize techniques to move past them, and be a positive peer
mentor to the new students entering the program. The parents
of ALA students go through the same training. The outcome
is better understanding, improved communication, and submission
to authority. Our students are better equipped to honor and
respect their parents than any other teen group in America.
Abundant Life Academy provides on-going family restoration
through:
• Online student notes (Daily Progress Notes) posted
by staff and available for parents 24/7.
• Weekly student phone calls home to parents with the
ALA Family Coach.
• Weekly ALA Parent Coaching by qualified and professionally
trained “Parent Coaches”.
• Bi-monthly Parent Coaching Workshops at the ALA Campus
(parents are required to attend one workshop).
• Aftercare Coaching - post Family Restoration Coaching
Through this process, the student, the family, and their
relationships have a great opportunity to be enlightened,
encouraged, and restored to their God-given destiny.
