The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation...
my stronghold. — Psalm 18:2

Our Purpose

Our purpose at Abundant Life Academy is to restore the child to his destiny (academically, athletically, and spiritually). Our mission is to grow the student athlete into a man of valor and honor. Furthermore, our job is to restore the student athlete’s vision and understanding of his future, compelling him to take full advantage of his God-given talent. More importantly, our greatest pleasure is to lead the student athlete to use his talents to glorify God, and to be a living testimony to all the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ.

The purpose of focusing on the restoration of a child’s athletic potential is an easy one. God has gifted this young man with athletic prowess. This gifting can be used to God’s glory, and the success of the student. Athletics offers so many intangibles for a successful life they all can’t be listed here. The more obvious benefits of athletics is the emotional and spiritual development of the student athlete. Athletes who invest themselves into their sport; working hard, setting and accomplishing goals, learning to work well with others (teammates and coaches), can use all their athletic investment to be successful in the real world.

Student athletes can also transition their success on the playing field to the classroom. Good High School coaches care more about training up strong Godly young men who can then apply their athletic experience in the classroom and beyond (real world). For example, people with good work ethic, who live by honor and character, will be successful in the job market later in life. Moreover, many great athletes can take their athletic gifting’s and earn college scholarships. There is no downside to this formula. Work hard, invest into your talents, and leverage your growth and talents into all areas of your life.
