At Abundant Life Academy, we will stand with the Lord
to provide you love, compassion,
coaching, redirection, restoration,
and a hope for tomorrow.

The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation...
my stronghold. — Psalm 18:2

Athletics and Physical Recreation - ALA Athletics

At Abundant Life Academy students will be required to participate in several different team sports (Football, Basketball, and Baseball). Student athletes are required to be in a sport as long as they are enrolled at the academy. Additionally, student athletes are also required to participate in the ALA Strength and Conditioning Program (year round program). Athletics at ALA is not a privilege; it is a major component of the program. We use athletics as a way to develop true leadership and to promote heart change. In other words, student athletes will not be kicked off the team for negative behavior (they may disqualified to play in games, but they continue to practice even if they are struggling behaviorally or academically).

At Abundant Life Academy we participate against small high schools in Arizona and Nevada. Abundant Life Academy is not an offical member of any sanctioned league, or state athletic association. Therefore we are able to allow all students to participate in athletics, regardless of the “transfer rules”. For example, in many states if a student has been expelled from school they are not eligible to transfer to a new school and participate in sports. By being “independent”, ALA can play other small schools without having to meet the rigors of state eligibility standards.
